I’m India. I’m a journalist, presenter and producer working in audio and TV. I tell creative and immersive stories about our fast changing world, spending time with people to learn about their lives and get under the skin of what makes us all tick.

Most recently I made the landmark series Child for BBC Sounds and Radio 4, exploring pregnancy, birth and the first year of life of a baby over 27 episodes. Previously I had the joy of making the series Witch - 13 epiosdes all about what the word ‘Witch’ has meant, right up to the present day. Before that I created 28ish Days Later - a big new series all about the menstrual cycle and the female body. I have also made multi-part narrative podcasts series for other broadcasters like The Guardian, BBC Studios and Audible. I’m a regular presenter on the show Outlook on the BBC World Service, where I have the privilege to meet and interview many people about their extraordinary lives.

I’ve also presented TV documentaries for BBC Three and BBC News.

In 2018 I helped launch and then co-presented the Guardian’s award winning daily current affairs podcast ‘Today in Focus’, with an incredible team. I also launched and created a series on mental health for the BBC which reached millions of viewers. For this work I was nominated as ‘Journalist of the Year’ at the Mind Media Awards in 2018 and for ‘The Georgina Henry award for Digital Innovation’ at the Press Awards 2018.

Before I was journalist I worked in theatre, producing plays and comedy shows and comedians. I also loved acting at university and even went to clown school in my twenties.
